Mission Statement

The Tri-County Snowmobile Clubs' mission is to promote safe, enjoyable snowmobiling for all snowmobile enthusiasts (beginner or advanced) through community involvement and developed trails.  To achieve and participate in this goal, the following mandatory requirements must be strictly adhered to:

bullet

You must be prepared to have fun, enjoy meeting new friends, riding new areas and sharing in the camaraderie of fellow club members.

bullet

You must be prepared to have all this fun in the safest way possible.

bullet

To uphold and practice the International Snowmobile Code of Ethics.

bullet

Promote and assist in reaching the goals and objectives of the Tri-County Snowmobile Club and the Alberta Snowmobile Association.

Joining a snowmobile club if you are new to snowmobiling is one of the best things you can do.  There is no better way to learn about snowmobiling than to join an organized club and we thrive on helping those new to this sport.  We will even welcome you and advise you if you haven't purchased your snowmobile yet.

Vision Statement

Through strong team membership, the Tri-County Snowmobile Club will be leaders in awareness and involvement by providing enjoyment and camaraderie through special events and a developed network of trails.

Who is Tri-County and Who is the ASA?

The Alberta Snowmobile Associate (ASA) is an Association of local clubs.  It is the organized body that represents us to the government and the community as a whole but it does not provide real activities or trail systems to users (the clubs do this).   The ASA provides a set of services that the clubs on a whole require.   Tri-County Snowmobile Club is a member (as an entire club) of the ASA.   Everything the end user experiences from the ASA is only through involvement in club.   You cannot join the ASA directly, but you can join a club that is a member of the ASA (often referred to as a ASA-Club).  To put it another way, the ASA is made up of snowmobile clubs and the snowmobile clubs are made up of actual snowmobilers.

This can seem confusing until you understand it.  Tri-County Snowmobile Club is a local snowmobile club serving the area located in a fairly large radius around Leduc (including may Edmonton members).  We provide information to our members, organize snowmobiling related activities for our members and organize our members to develop and maintain the trail systems in these areas.  There is a local snowmobile club for most geographic areas around Alberta (see Alberta Clubs) and each local club works to provide these things in its geographic area.   The snowmobile clubs exist where the rubber meets the road.  What you experience regarding organized snowmobiling is due mostly to the efforts of a local club.

Where does Tri-County hold it's meetings?

For 2009 Tri-County will hold its meetings every 2nd Tuesday of the month starting in October and ending in April.  We hold these meetings at the Ramada Inn, 8340 Sparrow Crescent, Leduc Alberta T9E 8B7
