2003 - March - CISN Radio Ride

Tri-County Snowmobile Club was invited by CISN Radio to participate in a radio promotion on snowmobiling. Of course TCSC was up for the event, with great participation from it's members. This ride met and organized in Leduc, then rode to Nisku and then up to Beaumont. As it turned out to be a frosty day everyone met back at Leduc for hot drinks and social visits. Another great job of organizing this ride by the TCSC Executive. Special thanks to Dan Bilsborrow for these great pictures..

2003 - February - TV Safety Program

Tri-County Executive was invited to work with N.A.I.T. students. The project was to create a Snowmobile Safety Program, which will air on Shaw Cable TV in March. As always they were quick to assist in any program which helps to promote snowmobiling. The location was at Ministik Lake Bird Sanctuary due to the beautiful, scenic trail system, which is only 1/2 hour to east of Edmonton. Our hard working Executive later that day, explored the trails and sites, to be used for the upcoming C.I.S.N. Radio Promotion. Hats (helmets) off to the TCSC Executive for their hard and dedicated work promoting snowmobiling and safety.

2003 - February - Yellowstone, USA, Bus Tour

Some TCSC members jumped on the bus to Yellowstone, USA. What a trip they had, just have a look at these two pages of photographs. Makes you want to go on the next trip coming up in February 28 to March 7, 2004. To book into this next trip call Nancy @ 780-973-6820.
Thanks to Dale and Wes for submitting these great pictures, keep the pictures coming.

2003 - February - Edmonton Area Trail Rides

TCSC went on a local trail ride south of Edmonton, in some of the nicest coulees and valleys, I have seen. We met lots of other snowmobilers along the way, out enjoying the day. Some of the best trails locally, can be found at Ministik Lake Bird Sanctuary, east of Edmonton. Ministik trails are cleared and managed by volunteers so please purchase a $15.00 yearly membership from TCSC. Thanks. Enjoy the pictures, as we enjoyed the ride. Special thanks to Reiner for sending us these pictures.

2003 - January - McBride, BC, Mountain Ride

On January 18 & 19, TCSC held it first Mountain Ride of 2003 to McBride, B.C. With 12 riders we headed to Renshaw, up to the cabin on a groomed trail (the only way to go at 60+ km), then over the top to the Anthills. Saturday was sunny and about +5c. Hard to take in January, but we soaked up all the sun we could! Snow load is down about 6 to 10 feet as rocks were showing but with a little care we missed them all. What a day, as we sat at 6500 feet and watched the sun go down. Then a cautious ride off the mountain, down the trails and back to the trailers.

2002 - December - Valemount BC, Mountain Ride

Some of the Tri-County Snowmobile Club Members took the early AVALANCHE COURSE in Valemount B.C. on December 28, 2002. Before you ride this year in the mountains, it may be worth your life, for you and your friends to take an Avalanche Course.
(Remember it is your friend that must know how to first find you and then dig you out).
(All that in under 15 minutes so remember your "Beacons, Shovels and Probes").
The same day at Valemount, while taking this course, a man on the next mountain west of us died from an avalanche. There were other avalanches involving snowmobilers that were not reported to the press as the people were hurt but did not die from their injuries.
