| Past Event: Whitecourt Trail Ride
TCSC Snowmobile Trail Ride Whitecourt Alberta, Sunday March 10, 2002 9:00 a.m. at the Eagle River Staging Area Directions:
Whitecourt
is approximately 177 km NW of Edmonton. Allow at least two hours driving time
from west Edmonton. Drive straight
to the Eagle River Staging area (see map below). To
get there from Edmonton take Hwy 16 west, then Hwy 43 NW through Whitecourt,
turn north on Hwy 32 to Swan Hills. The “Eagle River Staging” area is
located approximately 5 minutes from the intersection of Hwys 43 & 32 on the
left hand side. The
trails are well marked (they were in 1999), however if you can get your hands on
a map it is advisable. There are some warm-up shelters available, but their
exact location is unknown. Pack along a lunch. For
anyone who arrives after 9:00 AM, we plan to return to the staging area between
12:00 – 12:30 so you could meet up with earlier arrivals at that time. Information: Contact

(Dale’s cell # is 780-445-4348) For final ride status for cold weather, call the Hotline (988-4999) or Dale Reid or Reiner Buchsdrucker. We will make a final determination on Saturday based on Sunday’s forecast if the ride will proceed or not. Whitecourt
apparently received over 12 inches of snow since Sunday, March 3rd.
The temperatures expected for Sunday are low –18C, high of –3C. It
should make for excellent riding. The
