Course
Edmonton
Jan 28/29 |
I have volunteered to help promote an
Avalanche Awareness Course for the Edmonton area and thought it might
be of interest to some of your members.
This training includes two evening classroom sessions held in Edmonton
(Jan. 28/29) & one field day in Valemount (Jan. 31 or Feb. 1). Cost:
$175.00.
We need a minimum of 20 people to make it a go. If possible, please
post this information on your message board.
The
attached document has all of the details.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank you.

Note:
For January 28 & 29, 2004
Avalanche Awareness Course (RAC).
“It is the policy of Tri-County Snowmobile Club that any member
participating in the Club Mountain Ride, March 26, 2004, must have
taken a Recreational Avalanche Course (RAC). If you have not taken a
course this may be your best opportunity. The classroom
courses are held in Edmonton, (this will save you a night’s hotel bill
if you were to take a full two day RAC course in the mountains).
You still are required to spend one day of field training at Valemount.”

Leduc Black Gold Parade! |
Once again this year we are helping the
City of Leduc marshal the BlackGold parade. The city really
appreciates our efforts and our presence helps with our community
awareness. We are looking for volunteer bodies and ATVs.
This is your only yearly opportunity to ride your unlicensed ATV on
the streets of Leduc with a smile! This is a fun, easy event and
you get comfortable, movable front row streets (with a cup holder if
you are so equipped) from your ATV for the parade!
Call Reid Nehring @ 955-3326 to get
more info or volunteer.
Volunteer meeting is Thursday April
29th at 6:00pm @ Leduc firewall (by Leduc civic centre) - pizza
and pop provided. Parade is Saturday May 1st; usually you need
to show up around 9AM and are done about 2PM (full details at the
volunteer meeting). |

Summer Camp Out 2004 |
Attempts are being made to plan a summer campout at one of the local
lakes. We are trying to find an available group camping location
for a weekend in early summer before school is out.
Because the location will be not too far from Edmonton, there may be
possibilities for some to come out for the day as well. If you
are interested in joining us, please send an email to
info@tri-county.ab.ca with
a note. |
