I think we can say with confidence we have a "too little snow" condition now.  This event will still go on, just at a later date.  We are going to let the weather gods dictate this one.  Once we get to a point where we have a predictable snow base, we will make 2-week notice event announcement.  Stay tuned to this page for latest updates and remember to press "reload" to get the latest info".  (or call one of the contacts)

Please hang on to your toys and hang tuff for this event.  If we do nothing else this year, we will have this toy ride.

Thank you.

Updates/change will appear on this page.

FYI - the toy ride was moved to after Christmas for two reasons:

bulletThe toys never make it into the current Christmas anyway since we are running too close to Christmas
bulletThe event is easier to plan for and has a better chance of success with snow conditions after Christmas

Please take note - we had problems two years ago with the return trip (I know I was a contributor). Many eat lunch in town not knowing there was an escorted return trip back to the BBQ - this caused a problem with those returning with out a lead. The ditch on highway 14 is flat and smooth and temps you to run it fast - too fast. RCMP viewed this as a problem and have asked us to control our riders for future events. If you are coming back un-escorted please keep your speed down on the return - if we loose community acceptance for this activity we will have problems carrying it out in the future. We have tried to better advise riders of the itinerary this year - we are simply dropping toys off and being escorted back 10-15 minutes later for the BBQ. Please try to ride back with the group - this allows us to better mange road crossings and we can all enjoy the BBQ together. Thank you.

Toy Ride organized by Tri-County Snowmobile Club this year.
We are still looking for a few volunteers to help with ride marshalling & food preparation.
We are looking for sponsors to provide hot dogs, buns etc. for the BBQ.
You don't need a sled to help - there is need for some volunteers in vehicles.
This a big event, please try to help if you can. If you can help out, please call one of the organizers in the notice above.
